Small speeding is one of the most common offenses, but also quite often tolerated. More often similar records come from stationary radars. It depends on the approach of the police, respectively the specific patrols, but the practice is that the police often record and fines up to higher offenses, which we will describe in a moment.
Medium speeding
Speeding in the populated area to 20 km / h or outside the village to 30 km / h
Block fine: 1000 CZK / 40 EURO
Fine in administrative proceedings: CZK 1500 to 2500 / 60-100 EURO
An offense occurs if the driver of a motor vehicle exceeds the maximum permissible speed in the municipality by 6-19 km / h or outside the municipality by 11-29 km / h.
Higher speeding
Speeding in the populated area by 20 km / h and more or outside the village by 30 km / h and more
Block fine: up to 2500 CZK / 100 EURO
Fine in administrative proceedings: 2500 to 5000 CZK (100-200 EURO)
No activity: 1 to 6 months if the driver commits an offense two or more times within the next 12 months
This speeding is already a serious offense. You may think that nothing like this can happen to you … But we hear it from people who keep speed and then forget once, not notice the thirty and measure it at 51 km / h even after deducting a deviation of 3 km / h. And suddenly you have a so-called higher speeding.
